Weather or not???

Happy Birthday Peri!!!!

Today Peri is a big 4 year old. It only seems like yesterday she was a tiny puppy, naughty and wicked, and loving to play with The Big Dog : Vundy, the German Shepherd. She would chew everything in, and out, of sight, and she was very, shall we say, 'enthusiastic'!! She still is!! She goes at everything like a bull at a gate. She does nothing by halves.
She loves Harki, and is appropriately submissive, note that Harki is very dominant. Every now and then she likes to assert herself. Last night she had a bit of a bark every 5 minutes or so just to let everyone know she had a bone, it was her bone, and no-one was having it. Peri and I were in bed. We didn't want her bone!!!!
Peri ,and Harki too, both had a wrapped rawhide card - yes, it said Merry Christmas, but there were no birthday ones. Harki could unwrap hers, but Peri couldn't, but she brought it to me when I called her and I helped.
I will dish up special breakfast, boiled rice, celery and diet dogfood with a dash of yoghurt on top!!!!

Look a New Year has begun

What a lovely Christmas The Labradors had, they got lots of presents : Harki even helped herself to the Squeaky Toys from Aunty Karen when she found the bag!!! There were horsies and two big stuffed fish, the afore mentioned Squeaky toys and treats as well. They had a big Marrow bone : the femur of a cow I think, and bone shaped biscuits and rawhide 'cards' still to be eaten!!
It has been quite hot and they don't like the heat. We all hide inside from the Sun. We didn't have a walk today as we woke up too late and it was already too sunny and hot. Harki had a play with a stick, which was rapidly chewed to be a little pile of kindling tied together with string. Peri has a box to carry around in her mouth.
On Tuesday it is Peri's birthday and she will be a big 4 year old. I can't believe she is 4. I remember when she was a tiny puppy. She was so small and naughty. Now she is a big girl and 'sometimes' naughty!!!
Peri also likes to play with lids, but Harki prefers her Squeaky Ball Toy!!!
